Plastic injection moulding or molding?

Skar is a plastic injection moulding company… or is that a plastic injection molding company?

We had some fun with this topic when working with Andy and the Silver Monkey team when writing our new website.

While both spellings of the word are technically correct, “injection moulding” is the older version that originates in Britain, and is used in Canada and Australia.  “Injection molding” is the American spelling, a bit like “analyser” and “analyzer”, or “colour” and “color”.

The problem was that there are plenty of searches in the UK every year on Google for both spellings.  Of course, while we are keen to hear from anyone (whichever spelling they use) we didn’t want to try and optimise our site for both versions because, frankly, we didn’t want to look like we can’t spell!
