Skar Precision Mouldings has been a feature of the East Anglia business environment for over 50 years, growing organically and by acquisition to become the business that it is today.
Throughout this time we have funded our own growth by offering quality injection moulded parts, along with good service, at fair prices.
In 2021 we had the opportunity to purchase a warehouse situated very close to our manufacturing premises on the same industrial estate in Hadleigh, Suffolk.
After being made aware of the New Anglia Growth Hub scheme, we applied for a grant and were delighted to be successfully awarded £220,000 in December of that year to help us towards the purchase of the building, in turn supporting our business growth strategy.
We have since completed the build of an additional warehouse linking the factory and newly purchased buildings together, benefitting us in a number of ways and making a significant milestone on our company growth strategy.
A warehouse has been built, linking the two sites together
The need for additional premises stemmed from having a limited area for our manufacturing processes and the storage of materials and finished goods. Our growth plan remains to continue to increase our injection moulding facility, using the new warehouse for more streamlined storage of raw materials and finished goods.
Our business has also recently attained the BRC Food Packaging accreditation and we aim to develop this along with our medical moulding. Our plans remain to have a clean room added to our site in the near future, as well as extending our tool room facility.

Our growth strategy has and will continue to enable us to increase the number of people that we employ, benefitting not only the company but also the local community.
